Led by Shivas Irons Society member Dr. Glen Albaugh, noted sport psychologist and author of Winning the Battle Within, this six-hour workshop will focus on the highly acclaimed book's principles for training into the “zone” of high performance. Dr. Albaugh will share his inner-game insights gleamed from a decade of collaboration with tour regulars and Society members Scott McCarron and Kirk Triplett and his devotion to the teachings of The Kingdom.

In this Winning the Battle Within Workshop, you'll experience Dr. Albaugh's revolutionary inner-game trust drills, which lead you to: the perfect swing is simply the one you trust. You’ll learn about the performance package; new approaches to pre, post and in-between shot routines firsthand, which dozens of touring professionals worldwide already utilize. Content of Workshop:

• A self-evaluation of your mental game; i.e., self -talk, imagery, attitude, motivation, self-confidence, and goal setting put it into action. How to balance conscious, emotional, and imaginative minds and play automatically.
• The miracle of staying in the present: Application of Zen Buddhist levels of consciousness.
• Learning that self-confidence can be a matter of choice.
• How to develop a consistent process for the preparation for each shot: Playing one shot at a time explained.
  Discover a re-focusing process that prepares you for the next shot regardless of the result.
• How to sense your internal feedback system on every swing.
• Learn how to develop and apply a programmed pre competition regimen warm-up and post round practice.
• Learn what the zone is, how to get there and how to stay there over time.
• Discover the distinct difference between practice to learn skills and practice to perform them.
• Learn how to develop your internal feedback system and play without conscious thought.
• Discover how to move toward goals with decisive plans for action.
  

Location of Workshop:

*Workshop will be offered at a mutually agreed upon date at a facility near Stockton, CA with an appropriate practice area. It may be possible (depending on availability and circumstances) to arrange for Dr. Albaugh to travel to your location to do this workshop with additional payment of travel expenses and normal per diem rates (if applicable).
